TRAGEDY AT CUBITT TOWN


Mr. H. B. Sewell, deputy-coroner for South-East London, held an inquiry at Greenwich into the death of Charlotte Pluckrose, aged 46, of Stebondale-street, Cubitt Town. Her husband, John James Pluckrose, aged 59, a brass moulder, who was present, stands remanded at Thames Police Court in connection with the affair. The woman died in the Seamen’s Hospital, Greenwich, on Thursday night. It was alleged that during a quarrel the man shot his wife. The jury found a verdict of manslaughter against Pluckrose.
