Reports from Clubs

Shepherd's Bush Angling Association,Goldhawk Hotel, Shepherd’s Bush, W. — The ordinary general meeting held on Nov. 21 was largely attended. Members present included Messrs. Benwell (president), Pluckrose (vice-president), Gray, Golding, Baldock, Ellis, Gash, Taylor, Payne, Jenner, Brooke, Wingett, and Heard. Mr. Ryman Hall was also present as a visitor. Two new members, Messrs. A. F. Wallis and Julian Hicks, were unanimously selected, and two gentlemen, Messrs. James Avon and Ward, nominated for election. A letter was read from the secretary of the Thames Restocking Association, thanking the association for its consistent support. The next supper of the season takes place at headquarters on Dec. 12, and the secretary would appeal to those members who did so much to ensure the success of the last gathering to again send their names in as participants, and further, to do all in their power to conduce to the entertainment of the association in their musical capacity. Names should be communicated not later than the 5th prox. The competition held on the 7th inst. did not result in anyone taking a prize, although a fair number entered. Several members have experienced fair sport recently, amongst them being Mr. Gash (Temple, Teddington, and Richmond), roach and dace; Mr. Brooke (Shiplake), roach; Mr. Heard (Shiplake and Teddington), roach and dace; Mr. Pluckrose (Bray), roach; Mr. Plumstead (Shiplake), roach and dace; Mr. Golding (Richmond), roach and dace.
