SHEPHERD’S BUSH ANGLING ASSOCIATION

A successful supper in connection with this association took place at the Goldhawk Hotel, Shepherd’s Bush, on Wednesday (Dec. 2). The chair was taken by the president, Mr. Charles Banwell, supported by Mr. George Pluckrose (vice-president), and a very large gathering of members and friends. An excellent repast was provided by the host, Mr. A. H. J. Heard. An enjoyable concert followed. Mr. H. A. Duckett presided at the piano. The following gentlemen contributed excellent songs: Messrs. W. Long, F. Stark, F. Stacey, and R. H. Rogers. Mr. James Avon and Mr. Fred Searle were the humorists, and Mr. J. Wilson recited. Mr. E. W. J. Payne acted as supper secretary. The musical arrangements were ably carried out by the hon. secretary, Mr. C. Ellis. The general arrangements by Mr. A. H. J. Heard were admirable  . —   C. ELLIS.
