1647 : Johes Pluckrose seems to be getting somewhere in Court

Vppon the heareing and debating of the matter in question betweene the said pties this p’nte day in p’nce of the Councell Learned on both sides the plt’s suite being to be relieued against a reentry made by the def for non paymt. of the rent reserued vppon the plts lease Forasmuch as it apped that the rent became due and arreare in theis late times of distracc’on The cort is of opinion That noe advantage of forfeiture ought to be taken by the said def & doth therefore ordr. that Mr. Page one &c’ doe compute what the rent due and arreare to the def’ at the time of his reentry did amownt vnto & since the time of his reentry & the 28s paid by the def to the chiefe Lord of the same was paid wch is to be allowed to the def’ discounting the pffitts of the Ten’t in question receiued by the def since the time of his reentry & vppon paymt. thereof It is ordered & decreed that the said Deft shall by Mich’ next yeld & deliuer vpp to the pl’t the poss’ion of the Ten’t in question & seale & execute to the plt’ a new Lease for the residue of the terme yet vnexpired of the former Lease vndr. the like rent as is therein reserued wth a clause of reentry for non paymt thereof & vndr the like Couenants and agreemts as were conteyned in the said formr Lease
