1893 : James Pluckrose - fined for Diluting his Beer

At the Worship-street Police-court, on the 16th inst., Henry William Hunt, Brick-lane, Spitalfields, and George Holland Garlick, Gossett-street, Bethnal Green, licensed victuallers, were summoned for diluting beer. Mr. Bushby fined them £12 10s. and £15 respectively. At the Thames Police-court, on the 28th inst., James Pluckrose, licensed victualler, Jubilee-street, Stepney, was fined £8 for diluting beer.

 

This is probably James Pluckrose [PL1377 in Tree1006].
