He died during the Battle of Loos on 3 October 1915, aged 36. He is commemorated on the Loos Memorial, Pas de Calais.

The CWGC site records that he was the son of the late Mr H Pluck and the husband of Amy Louisa Pluck of 232 Elm Road, Wisbech, Cambridgeshire.
