He died, aged 18, on 10 October 1918, a few weeks before the war ended. He is buried at the Sucrerie Cemetery, Albain-St Nazarre, Pas De Calais, France.
The CWGC site records that he was the eldest child of James Edward and Grace Anna Pluck of 21 Audley Road, Colchester.
