He died on 28 April 1915, during the 2nd Battle of Ypres, aged 21. He is commemorated on the Ypres (Menin Gate) Memorial.

The CWGC site records that he was the son of Richard Pluckrose of 4 Block, St Pancras House, 4 Kings Road, St Pancras, London.
