0001 PLUCK William The burial record logged is slightly speculative as no age is given.
0002 JORDAN Sarah The burial record logged is slightly speculative as no age is given.
0005 PLUCK William He married twice: Mary Negus in 1755 and Elizabeth Wootten in 1764, [see Tree 4].
0007 PLUCK John Described as shoemaker in PR record of son John's baptism on 10 Dec 1765.
There is an unusual delay between the calling of banns on 11th, 18th and 25th August 1776 and the marriage to Ann Church on 19th February 1777. There is no explanation given. Perhaps John was ill? He died a little under a year later and was buried on 5th February 1778.
0010 AUGER Ann Banns were read in Littlebury parish church on 13th, 20th and 27th June 1762. ERO fiche: D/P 9/1/3 fiche 1. 30 Jan 1999. They were married on the 28th.
0011 PLUCK John Parents: John (shoemaker) & Ann.
Saffron Walden Charity apprenticeships: "John Pluck 'poor child' apprenticed to Stephen Pluck, cordwainer of Walden in 1779".   "Poor child" is sometimes a synonym for "orphan", which helps to confirm the death of his father in 1778. Stephen was his uncle.
0074 PLUCK John My Littlebury fiche has what looks like the burial in 1766 of an infant son of Thomas Pluck and Ann Westley. The fiche image is very indistinct but the event seems to be between 22 May and 22 July. The NBI gives a date of 11 July 1766.
0075 PLUCK Sarah [?'unnamed daughter of Thomas & Ann']

Note in Baptism Register: "curate in charge and parish clerk ommitted (sic) to keep memoranda for Vicar".
The Littlebury baptismal register of 1769 records merely "unknown daughter" of Thomas and Ann.  It is possible that she is the Sarah Pluck who has a "base born child" (with the father named as Philip White) in Littlebury in 1786?   She would have been 16/17 at the time. There is no record of this Sarah in the baptism register and she certainly fits the bill. On 16 June 1789 Sarah married Philip in Littlebury. She might have just attained the age of 21.

0077 PLUCK Ruth According to the registers the burial took place five days before the baptism. Obviously a clerical error.
0172 PLUCK Sarah A Sarah Pluck was buried on 21 July 1741 in Saffron Walden. No age is given in the register.
0401 CHURCH Ann The date recorded here for her burial is slightly speculative as the age is not recorded and she is not identified in any other way. It fits well, however.
