By an inquisition held at Great Chishall 20 July 1584 before Thomas Bedell coroner, on the body of a male infant, the jury (Thomas Hagger, William Fordham, Richard Warde, John Fordham, Michael Blancks, Richard Hagger, James Collopp, Nicholas Pepple, John Pluckrose, James Bentleye, Richard Skepp and William Fordham junior) found that 1 July 1584 Grace Warren of Great Chishall spinster gave birth to a child in the house of Nicholas Warren, her father, at Great Chishall. The child was still-born.
