I haven't been able to identify Captain Pluckrose's origins. His date of birth given here, if correct, rules out a birth in England or Wales. He may have been born in Scotland, or Ireland, or if he came from a military family, in India.

Officers in the Commissary's Department in India were often commissioned Warrant Officers from the English army and Edward could be the soldier who appears in the 1871 Census in Canterbury Barracks, Northgate, Canterbury: aged 20, born in Kent, a soldier in the 2/16th Regiment of Foot.

Apart from his place of birth, he fits PL2095 in Tree1012. There is a possible death in Q1 1921: Edward Pluckrose, South Stoneham (Hampshire), vol 2c, p102, age 68.

Sarah Garland reports "my sister found this marriage while reading the Madras Presidency India films, LDS #0498588: Edward Pluckrose married M A Ferguson 1892".
