George Yeoman, Joseph Gillingham, Edward Yeates, Geo. Elliott, Thomas Pluckrose, Walter Harrison, William Sallis, Joseph Hawes, Joseph Ashton, Henry Arthur Spells, Richard Chalk, and Edw. Coleman were fined in sums ranging from a shilling to half a crown for not sending their children to school. Mr. Glyn, barrister-at-law, instructed by Messrs. Russell, Son, and Scott, appeared in support of the cases on behalf of the Erith School Board.

This is probably Thomas Jesse Pluckrose [PL1421 : Tree 1006]. He had two daughters who were still of school age:
Lucy, born 1863, and Rebecca, born 1866.
