HANDSWORTH HORTICULTURAL. — This Society’s Annual Fruit and Chrysanthemum Show was held in the Town Hall, Birmingham, on Saturday, Monday, and Tuesday last1 . The display of fruit was excellent. The Pears and Apples were generally large and highly coloured; those from the Channel Islands were particularly well grown and in excellent condition. Chrysanthemums were past their best.

Extra prizes to Mr. R. H. Vertegans, Edgbaston, for a collection of Ornamental Ferns; and to Mr. Pluck, Jersey, for a collection of Fruit.
