Shepherd’s Bush Angling Association, Goldhawk Hotel, Shepherd’s Bush, W. — The president, Mr. Benwell, is again to the fore this week. Fishing at Hemingford Grey, bream weighing 6lb. 1˝oz., and roach, 2lb. 8˝oz. have been taken. Mention was omitted last week of the fact that Mr. Payne, one of our members, took, whilst fishing at Hemingford in August, bream and roach to the amount of 12lb 7oz. within one and a half hours. Five bream were landed, the heaviest being 3lb. 3oz., and one roach over lb. Several of the members, including the vice-president, Mr. G. Pluckrose, Mr. F. Kerven, Mr. J. Gray, and Mr. F. Gash, spent a pleasant day on the river at Staines on the 6th inst. Very fair sport rewarded their efforts. — C. E.
