Reports from Clubs

Shepherd’s Bush Angling Association, Goldhawk Hotel, Shepherd’s Bush, W. — An excellent attendance characterised the ordinary meeting held on the 17th inst. Among those present were Mr. Benwell, president, in the chair; Mr. Pluckrose, vice-president; Messrs. Baldock, Gray, Jenner, Heard, Kitsell, Rogers, Taylor, and Williams. The matter of the club championship was further discussed, and it was finally decided to initiate it, the question of the form it should take being left to the discretion of the committee. Members should note that a good time is anticipated on the occasion of the launching of the new punt at Staines, date of which will be duly announced. The supper fixed for Thursday next2 will, it is hoped, prove a great success, and those gentlemen belonging to the association who are musically inclined are invited to advise the secretary of their willingness to entertain. The competition on the 14th, although well entered for, resulted disappointingly, neither of the prizes being taken. The next competition will take place on Wednesday, the 7th proximo. — C. E.
