The Essex Motor Club Open Speed Trials.

A Well-attended Meeting.  Arrangements Marred by Showers.

THE best supported event since trials were restarted was the Essex Motor Club’s speed test run off at Southend on Wednesday, last week1, with the help of the Southend and District Automobile Club. Numerous well-known motorists took part in the organisation.

STANDARD TOURING MACHINES, 500 c.c. – First prize, gold medal; second prize, silver medal; third prize, bronze medal.

2. A. Milner, 2¾ Diamond 4725 = 47.21
3. F. G. Pluck, 3½ Primus 48 = 46.62
