ALEXANDRA PALACE GREAT INTERNATIONAL FRUIT SHOW
13TH, 14TH, AND 15TH SEPTEMBER
. . .
Dessert APPLES contained eighteen collections.
. . .
A portion of the schedule was set apart for foreign exhibitors, including
the Channel Islands. This is a very good arrangement, and affords our
home growers a better chance of competing on fairer terms. The whole of
the classes were well represented, and Messrs. F. Le Suer and J.
and P. V. Pluck carried off the lion’s share of the prizes.
. . .
This is Percy Voisin Pluck (1864-1930).
James could be his father or his elder brother.
Both can be found in Tree 1005.
See, also, the next record which tells us of their wins at the Crystal Palace in the following year.
