Origins
The head of this tree is Benjamin Pluckrose whose origins are unknown at present. He could be the Benjamin Pluckrose (PL141) who was christened in Linton in 1761 (see Tree 102). We don't have his age in a record but his wife was born in 1760 (based on declared age at death).

1620 | Eliza | The Q3 1850 GRO index records the marriage of Thomas Benjamin PLUCKROSE and Lizzy FELL. This was some time after the birth of Alfred, who was probably their first child. He is recorded in the 1851 and 1861 censuses and was born in Tottenham around 1844, although his birth does not appear to have been registered. Perhaps it wasn't; registration was not compulsory at that time. Eliza is recorded in the 1851, 1861 and 1871 census, usually as Lizzy. She was probably born in (or near) Epping about 1828. |
