Will of Robert Pluckrose : 1762

I Robert Pluckrose late of Fetter Lane  in the City of London Upholsterer but now in the parish of Saint James Clerkenwell in the County of Middlesex being infirm in body but of sound mind memory and understanding do make this my last Will and Testament in manner and form following that is to say I give devise and bequeath unto my Friend Mrs Sarah Swallow all my Estates and Effects whatsoever and wheresoever I am in any way possessed of or entitled unto on condition that she keeps Mrs Mary Betts after my Decease and after the Decease of the said Sarah Swallow and the said Mary Betts I Give the said Estates unto and among the Children of the said Sarah Swallow their Executors Administrators and Assigns for ever and I do appoint the said Sarah Swallow Executrix of this my last Will and Testament In Witness whereof I the said Robert Pluckrose have hereunto set my hand and seal this 20th May 1762. The Words Sarah interlined and also the Words their Executors Administrators and Assigns for ever. Robt. Pluckrose Sealed and Delivered by the said Testator in the presence of us and also in the presence of each other Thos Haywood No 5 Coney Court Grays Inn … Wm Bartlett Jno Rickitt Dr Commons.

This Will was proved at London on the Twenty Second day of May in the Year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and sixty two before the Worshipful William § Russell Doctor of Law Master Keeper or Commissary of the Prerogative Court of Canterbury lawfully constituted by the oath of Sarah Swallow widow the ******* ****** ******   the sole executrix named in the said Will to whom administration was granted of all and singular the Goods Chattels and Credits of the said Deceased having been first sworn duly to Administer.
